, The two luxurious apartments/homes of Melders Heide, built in 2001, are situated just outside the rural town of Melderslo in the northern part of the Dutch province of Limburg. Located just off highway A 73 Melders Heide is the ideal location to explore the Netherlands, Belgium as well as large parts of Germany. The Dutch capitol of Amsterdam and the Belgian city of Antwerp are only a two hours drive away and Cologne in Germany can be reached in 75 minutes. Do not forget the province of Limburg itself! The capitol of Maastricht, a one hour drive south, dates back to the Roman empire and it is also the city where in 1992 Europe’s political leaders ratified the plans for a further united Europe with a single European currency.


At Melders Heide central heating and built in floor heating offer a warm and comfortable stay year round. The apartments are spacious and equipped with many amenities to assure a ‘Home Away From Home’ feeling for up to six adults. After entering the entrance hall you will find a combined living room / kitchen with doors opening to the outside terrace with garden furniture and a well kept garden on the south side. A bedroom and toilet / shower complete the lay out on the ground level. On the first floor you will find two large bedrooms and a second toilet / shower.

The town of Melderslo is surrounded by a variety of landscapes; ranging from small fields of blooming roses (July and August), asparagus fields (Limburg is known for its delicious white asparagus!), to the valley of the meandering river Meuse. The banks of the Meuse river are dotted with quaint little towns and across the river you will find the splendid gardens ‘Kasteel Tuinen’ of the castle of Arcen. Or visit the National Asparagus and Mushroom Museum De Locht in Melderslo, where you can learn all about the agricultural history of the region. Bicycles are available for rental to discover the direct surroundings in a truly Dutch way!
